Foxbridge Golf Club proudly held its annual Pro Am on Monday 8th September amongst gorgeous sunshine and on a golf course which was in superb condition and praised by Jamie Spence from the European Tour who played in the event.
This year the Pro Am was sponsored by Shepherd Neame Brewery and Ian Knightley, Foxbridge’s Club Captain and special thanks goes to them for making this event happen.
The professional competition this year was won by European Tour professional Richard Bland with a score of 68, closely followed in joint second by Jamie Spence also from the European Tour and Horsham Golf and Fitness Professional Chris Croucher with scores of 69. Fourth place went to Lea Cooper from Burgess Hill with a 70.
The team event was extremely close this year with 3 teams on a score of 123 and countback was used to seperate them. This year’s winners were the team of Lea Cooper, Eammon Cullaine, Dave Cullaine and Chris Cullaine (Burgess Hill GC) followed by in second place by the all Lady team of Marissa Newan, Patt Whitty, Viv Graham and Jo Harris (Hever Castle) and in third place Foxbridge’s very own team of Ian Knightley, Nikki Purton, Ashley Jefferies along with Richard Bland.
